Sanitary fittings are components that are assembled to create clean pipelines that are used to transport products and fluids. Fittings are used in the pharmaceutical, biotech, beverage, dairy, food and other industries. These components are designed to allow the passage of materials, including solid products, without clogging the system. There are many sanitary fittings that are used in many industries in America to allow products to pass. Some of these components include tri-pliers, beveled seats, butt welds, sanitary collars, sanitary DINs, and I-line. These fittings are available in many materials and qualities. These include stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVDF and many other materials that provide high hygiene standards.

Fittings are also available in many finishes. These adhere to specification industry standards based on their location. Some examples include USDA, FDA BPE, and SSF4. Although it is a broad concept, fitting is mainly used for pipe fittings in practice. The profession of gas fitter or even fitter relates to an installer, such as a plumber or a heating engineer. Such fittings must also be made water-tight or gas-tight, using a soldered connection, if there is a threaded connection this is done with the help of hemp, Teflon tape, or fitters kit. There are also fittings that are applied by means of a press connection.

Incidentally, not only pipes but also other metal pipes can be connected to each other by means of a fitting. This occurs, for example, in a bicycle frame, where so-called lugs are used as a coupling piece. The material of which a fitting exists must have some deformability. Fittings are therefore often made of tempered iron, brass or copper. But as for sanitary fittings, the raw material is usually stainless steel. Adamantvalves offers a full line of 304 and 316L stainless steel sanitary fittings and valves used in the food, dairy, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical industries. Butt-weld, tri-clamp and I-line connection ends are interchangeable.
